Established in 1977 by Freeport business leaders, we have evolved from an organization of member merchants to the premier organization dedicated to marketing Freeport for destination travel and serving the information needs of visitors.

The FreeportUSA Map & Visitor Guide is the largest community tourism publication in the state, with over 250,000 copies distributed throughout Maine, New England and Canada and with over 600 points of distribution. FreeportUSA answers thousands of information phone calls, fulfills thousands of mail requests for maps and brochures, maintains an informational website with half a million annual visits, maintains a year round information center at the Amtrak Downeaster Train Station and seasonal Information Center on Main Street in Freeport.
FreeportUSA produces a number of annual events, such as the Freeport Fall Festival, Moonlight Madness, Flavors of Freeport, several town-wide Sales Events and the Sparkle Holiday Celebration, for the entertainment of residents and visitors alike.
