The Sam Anderson Band is an original rock and roll band based in Portland, ME. The band has crafted original songs which are relevant for today’s culture, yet are melodically evocative of the classic pop-rock songs of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Their live sets also include great tunes by artists such as The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. It's a winning combination of great originals and great classics.

Matt Fogg’s musical journey began as a trumpet player at the age of ten. His interest in the piano, however, didn’t develop until high school, when he began listening to greats such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, and Keith Jarrett. These legendary jazz musicians, among others, helped Matt discover a new passion to pursue…jazz piano. Matt attended the University of New Hampshire, earning a degree in Music Education. He performed in various university ensembles, and had the opportunity to play with legendary jazz musicians such as Clark Terry, Slide Hampton, Bud Shank, and Jimmy Heath.
One of the best rhythm sections in Maine playing rock oriented blues, traditional blues and ancients like Pink Floyd, Clapton, Little Feat and Steely Dan. Our band has been together for 8 years. We come from different walks of life but share a love for the same kind of music. Most of us have been playing Blues and Rock a good portion of our lives.

The Portland Press Herald lists Gunther Brown as one of the ‘ten bands to watch’ in 2010. In doing so, Bob Keyes says …

“Gunther Brown’s music is earthy, eloquent and entirely honest. The band from Portland reminds one of early Jayhawks, with maybe a touch of Wilco. It’s Americana music, with roots that spread to folk, rock and old-time country.”  www.guntherbrown.com

Portland, ME singer/songwriter Sara Cox has just released her third solo cd, "Crowded is the New Lonely." This is the follow up to her well received previous cd, "Arrive" which was voted best album of the year, 2004 by the Portland Phoenix and led to such honors as being listed as "One To Watch" by the syndicated public radio show "Acoustic Cafe" in association with the USA Songwriting Competition and sharing the stage with artists such as Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, John Hiatt, Suzanne Vega, Ray LaMontagne, Stacey Earle, Joe Ely, Richard Buckner, and Lori Mckenna among others.

Her hometown AAA radio station, WCLZ added 2 tracks from "Arrive" to their rotation, and currently "At Home with Home" from the new cd is in their daily playlist.

Cox hails originally from Nashville, TN where she wrote her first lonesome ballad on a tiny ukulele at the age of 6. Singing was a mainstay in her household with both parents musicians and singing 3 part harmony part of the usual after dinner entertainment.

A mother of three, her songs are filled with honest, sometimes autobiograhical portraits of life as it is really lived. Her warm and resonant voice is always in the forefront, but backed by strong melodies and the talents of longtime bandmates guitarist Nate Schrock, bass player Steve Jones, vocalist Megan Jo Wilson and drummer Chicky Stoltz the songs are full, often intimate, and unique.

Cox recently won the Granite State Songwriting competition for the new cds 6th track, At Home with Home and the press has been overwhelmingly positive. www.saracox.net
