If you have your own gear, check out these great locations to hit the trails:

Winslow Park: Offers ocean view trails for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. The road to the water is plowed in the winter and you’ll get a great view of the ocean.

Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park: Wolf Neck Woods State Park offers miles of woods and shoreland trails along the rocky shores of Casco Bay and the Harraseeket River. The trails are ungroomed, but snowshoers and skiers will enjoy the woodland experience, especially the Old Woods Trail and the unplowed park access road.

Cousins River Trail: The approximately half mile trail passes over hills and boardwalks to the marshy shore of the Cousins River. Side trails lead to/from Lambert Road and the Freeport Inn and Cafe. The trailhead, marked by a kiosk, is located on a knoll at the back left-hand corner of the Casco Bay YMCA parking lot on Old South Freeport Road, off Route 1. Park in the YMCA lot.
