One of Maine’s most popular holiday celebration kicks off with a parade of lights down Main Street, and the fun continues all weekend with visits with Santa, the famous talking Christmas tree, free hot cocoa stops and horse drawn carriage rides, craft fairs, free gift wrapping, a Tuba Christmas Concert and more!

6pm – The Sparkle Parade of Lights (Route starts at Mallet & Main St, proceeds South on Main and ends at Grove St.) Emceed by Sandra & Teddy of 94.9 WHOM. Watch for Santa as he arrives on his holiday yacht and brings the famous talking Christmas tree to life! Enjoy free hot cocoa courtesy of the Applewood Inn and Girl Scout Troop 1976! All aboard the Downeaster – decked out for the holidays! Enjoy a FREE reading of the Polar Express aboard an actual train! Attendees will enjoy free hot Cocoa and peppermint sticks while enjoying this Christmas classic! Psst. We hear Santa loves to ride the train – keep an eye out and you just may see him there! Readings are scheduled from 2pm and 3pm. 70 people max per event, first come first serve.
