Moonlight Madness Shopping Celebration
We are excited to announce that this year Freeport will feature a Moonlight Madness event as part of the month-long Holiday in Freeport happenings.
Moonlight Madness features events, activities and shopping beginning at various times from 12:01 am on Friday, November 27th. The event is a fun shopping celebration, and a new way to go back to a familiar tradition - where you can enjoy a bit of madness that won't make you crazy.

Sparkle Breakfast and Craft Fair at Freeport Community Center
8 am - 3 pm Freeport Community Center is celebrating Sparkle Saturday with a fabulous lineup of food and crafts!
The day starts with a Pancake Breakfast from 8 – 10 a.m. Freeport Elders Association will serve pancakes with sausage, orange juice and coffee, all for $3.50/$3.00 for seniors/$2.50 children.
The Third Annual Craft Fair will open at 10:00 am until 3 pm. Over 25 vendors will be selling jewelry, metalwork, woodworking, baskets, photography, watercolors and other arts and crafts to celebrate the coming Holiday Season. There will also be food available – chili, hot dogs and yummy treats. Freeport Community Center

Historic Bed and Breakfast Open House Tour 2 - 4 pm
Six of Freeports most welcoming Bed and Breakfasts will be hosting open house receptions and tours on Sparkle Weekend Saturday, December 6th. All open houses are from 2 to 4 pm.
Participating establishments are; Brewster House, Captain Briggs House, James Place Inn, Kendall Tavern, Royalsborough Inn at the Bagley House and The White Cedar Inn.

L.L.Bean Winter Sports Expo
L.L.Bean’s Winter Sports Expo, December 6-7, 2008 featuring a weekend full of family and kids’ activities, interactive demonstrations, presentations, great promotions, snowshoe and product testing and much more. Highlights include a snowshoe demo track made of real snow and a sledding hill for kids.

Holidays at Harrington House
1 pm to 4 pm - both days
Freeport Historical Society and Freeport Community Players invites visitors and residents to a magical Holiday skit where you’ll be transported back to a late 1800’s Freeport Christmas. The audience is invited to help the Harrington children decorate the newly-cut Christmas tree, enjoy a holiday song, and eagerly await word of the arrival of the children’s seafaring father, Captain Harrington. Skits are presented on the half-hour beginning at 1pm and last approximately 20-minutes. Seasonal sweets and refreshments are available. Suggested donation of $5.00 adults, children free.

Back by popular demand, Maine’s only professional silhouette artist, Ruth Monsell, will be creating nostalgic cut-paper profiles of children and adults alike from live, five-minute sittings at Harrington House, headquarters of Freeport Historical Society, as part of our historic holiday celebrations.
