“Shop Talk” the FMA newsletter is now being distributed electronically. This is more efficient for our members and will provide you with new marketing opportunities.
The newsletter will have the ability to distribute member’s special event flyers with more efficiency, too. Rather than printing your flyers to be inserted, simply send us your flyer in digital format (a Word document or .PDF file works well)
New features and opportunities will be introduced through the year.
Privacy and your subscription…
As a member or affiliate of FMA, we have already included you in our subscription list. (You may remember a phone call and/or postcard requesting current email info for that purpose) We have made every effort to address privacy, security and SPAM issues.
Our subscription system is CAN-SPAM compliant. We use a double opt-in signup process. (when you subscribe, we send a link for you to confirm that it’s really you) To make sure all goes well in your subscription process and that you actually get the valuable information we send you, please do a couple of things:
Put admin@freeportusa.com in your address book. (This is where we send our FMA Newsletter from. Spam filters will then know we are a friend.)
If you aren't sure if your are signed up for our newsletter (or you want to subscribe an additional address), fill out the subscription form on the Members page. Don’t worry, duplicates won’t happen.
Member-to-Member communications
A word about our current policy...
Networking among fellow members has always been a valuable FMA member privilege. Our digital delivery system now makes that member-to-member communication better than ever. We do have to make an adjustment in the rules, however.
In this day of spamming, phishing, and other digital junk coming to all our email boxes, we have to be especially sensitive to privacy and security issues. We have sought out the most stringent guidelines and applications engineering to insure the utmost integrity in our information sharing systems. This is import as we build a stronger global marketing base for our FMA members.
In accordance, our Member / Subscription List Policy is as follows…
Members may include flyers and/or event notices in our newsletter. (See how in the column at the left.)
Members may share information with other members and affiliates by sending a brief note to the FMA office. Lengthy information should be presented with a brief introduction and a link where the rest of the information can be found. Complete contact information needs to be included. We will send this to the membership / subscriber list in the next available update. (Send your communications to admin@freeportusa.com)
We absolutely cannot share our member or subscription list(s) with anyone. Sorry.
